Building our scenery through upcycling waterbottles

The welcome desk of the piece is gradually coming to life. Thanks to the combined efforts of Charlene Dubreton and Julien Charrier who used this 10 day intensive to create the all-plastic desk and the fancy screen, allowing us to have a feel of the what the beginning of the piece looks like. We now have to finish designing the backdrop of the piece, made of plastic sheet that will be displaying the Volvac logo and cleverly cut so as to fall apart in the second half of the piece. I also have been busy, creating fish-like and coral-like shapes out of melted plastic. These shapes will stay different shades of white and blue and will be used for the visuals of the end. They look both apocalyptic and poetic, like the abyss at the bottom of the ocean.
